YOGA RETREAT

August 16th - 18th, 2024

Cle Elum, WA

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

This retreat is being hosted at a private 27 acre property that's fully off grid and extends from the banks of the Yakima river up the side of a mountain with stunning views of the valley. It’s about 90 minutes east of Seattle and 30 minutes from Cle Elum Lake.

There is a wood fired sauna, a natural spring fed pond for cold plunging and a tree house outdoor shower to relax and recover during your stay. The sauna, treehouse, and decks were all made from trees harvested and milled on the land.

There are 5 glamping tents on the property as well as a large canvas tent where we will gather for yoga. There is plenty of space to hike, river dip, lounge in hammocks, connect with yourself, others & our beautiful mother earth!

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS

Hi! I'm Mackenzie. I've been teaching yoga regularly for about 4 years now and practicing for about 15. Yoga has been a life changing practice and a grounding anchor through every season of my life. I feel honored and deeply on purpose sharing this beautiful practice with people.

I offer flows that are grounded yet fluid, strong yet soft, both creative and structured. I continuously weave in metaphors about ways we can take our practice off the mat into our every day lives. Asana, the physical practice of yoga, is just one element of yoga to explore. I am passionate about teaching yoga as a way of life... not just a physical movement practice.

I teach regularly at the Bellingham Yoga Collective. If you've never been to this studio and want to try out my class before signing up for the retreat, reach out to me and I can get you into my class for the first time free! And if you are curious about the other work I offer in the world, check out the rest of my website... thanks for being here.

YOUR CHEF & FAERIE GOD MOTHER

for the weekend

IMG_0438.jpg

Rosey is a dear friend of mine who's driving in from Montana to help support the retreat. I am so excited to have her energy & presence with us! This woman is the embodiment of magic, pure love, laughter & authenticity. She will be present all weekend offering up her bomb chefing gifts... nourishing our bodies, hearts & souls through her food & presence.

As a business owner & birth doula, Rosey is passionate about human connection, community & nourishing ourselves through nature. If you have any questions or specific requests around food, don't hesitate to reach out. We will make sure you are taken care of.

FAQ

What's the bathroom situation?

We are Glamping!!! There are two porta potties available on the property. I know it's not the most ideal bathroom situation, but with everything else the property offers, it was not a deal breaker. You're welcome to pee outside. There is a beautiful outdoor shower & sauna available as well.

Can I bring alcohol or drugs?

Please do not bring alcohol to the retreat. This is a space to lean into deeper connection with yourself, the earth, your yoga practice, and others at the retreat. If you have a good relationship with cannabis and want to bring that into your experience, I ask that you do so mindfully & intentionally. If you are a smoker, I will ask that you do that far away from any food, sleeping or yoga practice environment. Please leave all other substances at home.

What kind of yoga will we be practicing?

I will be teaching a strong & slow vinyasa style practice. On Saturday evening, I will be offering a more restorative/yin & meditation practice.

What if I have to arrive late or leave early?

I would really love for everyone to be able to arrive before 4pm on Friday for the opening circle & leave after the closing circle completes on Sunday at 2:30pm.

Is there cell reception on the property?

There is decent cell service on the property. I will have my phone on while people are making their way to the property in case anyone needs to get a hold of me. I am going to encourage everyone to turn their phones off or leave them on airplane mode for the entirety of the retreat. If you need to have your phone on to be in communication with anyone, you are obviously welcome to, please just be mindful of how this impacts your experience and the rest of the group.

OTHER QUESTIONS?

Email contact@mackenzie-rae.com and I would be happy to answer them!

Also, if you've never taken a yoga class with me and are interested in coming on the retreat but want to try out my class first, come take a class with me at the Bellingham Yoga Collective. If you've never been to BYC, please let me know and I can get you into one of my classes for your first time free.
